Not Your Average Joe

Joe Rhea never played in the NFL. He never even played college football. But he's just as big of a hero to many as all-time greats Joe Montana, Dan Marino and Brett Favre. And as he likes to say, he's "Not your average Joe." At the age of 14, on September 11th, 1984 Rhea sustained a broken neck on the football field and was paralyzed from the neck down. The doctors said he would never walk again.

End of story, right? ------ Wrong.

Not only is Joe Rhea no longer in a wheelchair, but he walks, runs and skis, much to the amazement of doctors. Rhea's inspirational story has helped countless others overcome devastating injuries and lead a full life. Through the Kansas City based Think First National Injury Prevention Foundation, Rhea has shared his story with thousands of people around the world.

In His Own Words

"You have to believe in yourself and those around you. You must stay focused on your goals and adjust when presented with insurmountable obstacles. By reevaluating how to best use your abilities, you can still overcome and be a winner!"

Joe did a terrific job of articulating his story and relaying his message of inspiration. We were all touched by his story. I recommend Joe to ANY group.
